A bill that would eliminate annual vehicle safety inspections might not be advancing in the NH state legislature.
Yesterday, a committee couldn’t decide what to do with the bill, and tie votes among lawmakers prevented it from moving forward.
One compromise was proposed that’d require cars and trucks to get checked out every other year while emissions tests for most vehicles wouldn’t be mandatory.
There were over one-million safety checks last year and 13-percent of vehicles failed their initial inspection.
