Body of Missing Concord Elder Found Friday Morning in Merrimack River

The search for an elderly Concord man who disappeared more than a week ago is over.

Officials in Bow say the body of 84-year-old David Peistrup was found Friday morning inside his pickup truck that was submerged in the Merrimack River.

State authorities say Peistrup was last seen leaving his home in the vehicle the afternoon of Friday, July 28th.

A ‘silver alert’ was issued a week ago.

Peistrup reportedly struggled with dementia, COPD, and diabetes.
