Bristol Restaurant Fined Over $100,000 for Violations
A Bristol restaurant has been fined more than $100,000 for child labor law violations.
The U.S. Department of Labor says the Homestead Restaurant and Tavern allowed a 15-year-old to use a meat slicer and another teenager to use a blowtorch while preparing food.
There were also over a dozen minors who were allowed to work outside permitted hours, including 13-year-old bussers.
The business has signed a compliance agreement to prevent future violations.
