Child Dead and Others Injured Following Loudon Vehicle Collision
An eight-year-old child is dead and four other motorists injured after an SUV and a Mazda sedan collided head-on Friday night in Loudon.
Police say it happened just after 6:30 p.m. on Route 106, just north of Staniels Road.
Two people in the SUV were hospitalized with serious injuries.
Three people in the sedan, two of them children, reportedly were admitted with critical injuries.
One of the children, described as 8 years old, was subsequently pronounced dead.
Cause is under investigation.
