Claremont Schools Dealing With A Large Deficit

New details are being released about the ongoing financial problems Claremont schools are dealing with.

The district says its budget deficit is now more than five-million dollars.

Signs of fiscal distress were discovered back in mid-August, but it wasn’t clear just how large this budget gap is until a review was completed this week.

The district is now trying to come up with a plan to reduce this deficit by the end of the 2026 fiscal year.
