Concord High School Ensures Security

Concord High School is taking steps to ensure security at athletic events.

That’s the word from school Principal Tim Herbert following Friday night’s incident when, during the fourth quarter of a boys’ basketball home game against Portsmouth, a fight broke out in the stands.

The changes reportedly include locking doors into the gym before halftime and barring re-entry for those who leave the game before it’s over.

In addition, officials say, those involved in Friday night’s incident are barred from attending future events until further notice.
