State health officials are reporting the death of another New Hampshire resident from Eastern Equine Encephalitis.

Authorities announced Thursday that an adult from Danville had fallen ill and died after being hospitalized with the mosquito-borne virus commonly known as ‘Triple-E.’

The victim is the fifth Granite State resident to contract Triple-E so far this year.

The CDC says symptoms can include fever, headache, vomiting, diarrhea, seizures, behavioral changes and drowsiness.

Federal health officials say the virus is deadly in roughly 30% of cases.
