Democrats Win Seacoast Special Elections

Democrats won two special elections for House seats Monday.

In Rockingham District 21, which includes Newington and part of Portsmouth, Jennifer Mandelbaum defeated Republican Carol Bush.

In Strafford District 11, which covers Lee, Madbury and part of Dover, Erik Johnson beat Republican Joseph Bazo.

The New Hampshire House now has 201 Republicans, 195 Democrats, 2 independents and two vacant seats.
