Diocese of Manchester has Settled Sex Abuse Claim

The Diocese of Manchester says it has settled a sex abuse claim that was filed against a former priest.

A man claimed he was a teen when he was abused by Reverend Alfred Jannetta, who worked at Saint Paul’s Church in Franklin around 1973 and 1974.

Jannetta died in 2005 at the age of 64 after battling a long illness.

The only terms of the settlement that were announced is that the victim received a payment in the low six figures.
