Eversource, Unitil Customers Now Paying Less Money for Utility Service

Customers of both Eversource and Unitil are going to be handing over less of their hard-earned money to pay for service.

That’s because lower electric rates are now in effect.

Eversource customers are paying 12-and-a-half cents per kilowatt hour, which is down from the previous 20 cents.

Also, folks who have Unitil have had their electric supply rate cut in roughly half.

The companies say these reductions are due to the lower cost of buying power.
