Federal Disaster Funding for NH

NH Governor Chris Sununu is seeking a federal disaster declaration for severe storm damage last month in several counties.

The state was hard hit by flooding between July 10th and 17th.

The governor said torrential rain caused flooding that washed out roads, destroyed drainage systems and other infrastructure, trapped people in their homes, impacted local mutual aid and state systems as personnel were diverted to affected areas.

Damage is estimated to be in the millions of dollars.
