Fire That Damaged Historic Castle Suspicious

A fire that severely damaged the historic Kimball Castle in Gilford is being considered suspicious.

Crews were called to battle the flames yesterday and thought it was brush burning, but it turned out to be the building instead.

The castle was constructed in the 1890s and will likely have to be torn down.

No one was injured and authorities are asking anyone with information to come forward.
