Fireworks Malfunction in York Maine

The Maine State Fire Marshall’s office is investigating a fireworks malfunction that injured a licensed pyrotechnician during a July 3rd display in York Harbor, Maine.
Officials said a device malfunctioned during the show, causing first‑degree burns to the technician overseeing the display.
That person was taken to Portsmouth Regional Hospital for evaluation and later released.
The fireworks were sponsored by the York Harbor Reading Room.
