Former Attorney Justin Nadeau Found Guilty of Multiple Felony Charges

A Rockingham County Superior Court jury has found former Portsmouth lawyer Justin Nadeau, a 2004 Democratic U.S. congressional candidate, guilty on felony charges for stealing money from a former client.
Nadeau, was convicted yesterday on felony charges of theft by deception, financial exploitation of an impaired adult, forgery, and falsifying physical evidence.
The jury found that between August 17 and August 22, 2018, Mr. Nadeau obtained a $275,000 loan from his now former client, who had recently suffered a traumatic brain injury, under false pretenses.
Mr. Nadeau subsequently obtained a second loan from this same client on December 12, 2018.
Sentencing for Mr. Nadeau is scheduled for Monday, June 22nd
