Four Alarm Fire In A Historic House

The cause of a four-alarm fire yesterday in Rye is under investigation.

Authorities said the fire spread quickly through the first and second floors of a house on Red Mill Lane that dates back to the 1800s.

No injuries were reported.

According to the Rye Historical Society President Franklin Roosevelt once stayed in the house while visiting friends in the area.
