Franklin Police Credited with Saving Two Children

Two Franklin police officers are credited with saving two young children from frigid river waters last Friday.

A man had been canoeing with his three and five year old’s when the canoe capsized and they were all dumped into the river.

One child was airlifted to Dartmouth-Hitchcock Hospital and the other child was treated at Concord Hospital.

Their father, Franklin resident Michael Stewart, is charged with DUI vessel and other charges were expected.
