Funding Sought to Combat Distracted Driving

The New Hampshire Department of Safety is seeking $500,000 in federal funding to raise awareness about distracted driving.

It would also pay for more State Police patrols on highways.

The request was approved Friday by the Joint Legislative Fiscal Committee.

It still needs approval from the Executive Council.
