Gov. Sununu Says Millions In Grant Money Will Help Improve School Security
(Concord, NH) — Governor Sununu says the state is planning to send out 10-million-dollars to schools across New Hampshire to help them improve security.
In recent weeks, there have been calls for increased safety measures at schools following a mass shooting in Texas that left 19 students and two teachers dead.
Schools will be able to apply for the grant money in the next few weeks.
Governor Sununu believes the funds will be a big step towards making sure first responders and staff are properly trained if there’s ever a crisis.
