Governor Mills Directing Police To Work With Cities

Maine Governor Janet Mills is directing State Police to work closely with officials in Lewiston and Portland.

The order comes amid rumors that Immigration and Customs Enforcement officers may soon be conducting operations in those cities.

The governor wants everyone to make sure they knows their rights and is urging Mainers who decide to protest to do so peacefully.

ICE says it won’t reveal any details about upcoming or potential operations.
