Governor Sununu Signed Tenant’s Rights Bill
A new law takes effect in New Hampshire New Years Day 2025 that allows victims of domestic and sexual violence to break their rental lease agreements early.
To do so, they must provide a police report or be in the process of obtaining a protective order after an incident.
It also expands protection against evictions for victims of domestic violence, sexual assault, and stalking.
Governor Chris Sununu signed the bill into law Tuesday.
