Gun Safety Bill

Gun Safety Bill

A gun safety bill won the support this week of the House Criminal Justice and Public Safety Committee.

The intent of the bill is to prevent suicides by allowing people to sign into a registry to ban themselves from impulsively buying a gun.

Supporters and opponents voiced their opinions prior to the committee vote.

According to the nonprofit Everytown for Gun Safety, on average 126 New Hampshire residents die by gun suicide annually.
