Hampstead Man Hit with DUI Following Pre-Dawn Vehicle Crash in East Kingston

A Hampstead man is facing a DUI charge following Saturday’s pre-dawn, single-vehicle crash in East Kingston.

Local police say 25-year-old Zachary Quintal-Sharpe was arrested at the scene on Route 107, known locally as “East Road,” shortly before 1 a.m.

Police say he had to be extricated from his 2017 Chevy Spark just before the vehicle caught fire.

No injuries were reported.

Police say Quintal-Sharpe is scheduled to go before a judge on Thursday.
