Hassan, Shaheen Support Banning Offshore Drilling

New Hampshire Senators Maggie Hassan and Jeanne Shaheen are part of a bipartisan group of the region’s senators who have introduced a bill to bar drilling off the New England coast.

Hassan said offshore drilling has led to some of the worst natural disasters in modern history.

Shaheen said New Hampshire’s 18 miles of coastline would be severely threatened by harmful offshore drilling.
