Hearing for Medically Assisted Dying Bill
The House Judiciary Committee held a public hearing Wednesday on a bill to allow terminally ill patients in New Hampshire to decide how and when they die.
The terminally ill person would have to be mentally competent with no more than six months to live to request a lethal dose of a drug.
Two doctors would have to approve the request and the ill person would need two witnesses to confirm his or her wishes.
The committee held the bill for further consideration.
