Hiker In Distress Assisted On Mount Whiteface

A 45-year-old Windham woman is safe after notifying authorities yesterday that she was in distress.

New Hampshire Fish and Game said Rene Cushman was hiking on Dicey’s Mill Trail on Mount Whiteface in Waterville Valley when she called for help.

First responders located her over two miles from the Trailhead.

She was escorted down to the parking lot.
