Investigation Underway After Gun Found

An investigation is underway after an unloaded gun was discovered in the backpack of a fifth-grader.

The gun was spotted at McLaughlin Middle School in Manchester and the building was briefly put under a “stay in place” order.

According to the superintendent, the weapon was confiscated immediately and the student was removed from school grounds.

There is an increased police presence at the school today as a precaution.
