Lawmakers Are Closing In On Budget Deadline

NH State lawmakers are closing in on a deadline to get a brand-new budget worked out.

Committees have until Wednesday afternoon to reach an agreement on several issues.

They include legislation cracking down on drug dealers, abortion rights, plus coming up with a measure involving a ban on cellphone use in public schools.

All bills will be the subject of up or down votes on June 26th.

The start of the next fiscal year is July 1st.
