Lightning Strike Sparks Fire in Meredith

A lightning strike caused a fire at a building on High Street in Meredith on Sunday night, according to fire officials.

The fire broke out in the building’s attic around 10 p.m. and has since been put out.

There were also two other reports of strikes, one to a high transmission pole and another at a mobile home.

There was no word of any injuries according to Channel 9.
