Litchfield Police Chief Found Guilty

Litchfield Police Chief Benjamin Sargent was found guilty on a misdemeanor charge of official oppression.

He was arrested in December for allegedly sexually harassing a subordinate in violation of official policy. Sargent was sentenced to the maximum fine of $1,200 plus a nearly $300 penalty assessment.
