Live Birds Killed In Turkey Farm Fire In Seacoast

As Thanksgiving approaches, a turkey farm fire killed 75 live birds overnight and most of the turkeys that had already been processed were also destroyed.

Flames burned down the equipment shed ruining the turkey processing equipment at Hurd Farm in Hampton according to the owner.

No one was injured.

In a Facebook post the Hurd family described the fire as devastating, a “difficult and unexpected setback for our family and our business.”
