Maine Officials Say Mass Shooter’s Mental Health a Factor in Shooting
Officials in Maine say the mass shooting suspect’s mental health may have played a role in Wednesday’s deadly rampage.
During a Saturday news conference, Public Safety Commissioner Mike Sauschuck said ‘clearly, there’s a mental health component’ to the crime.
Records show Robert Card had been treated in a mental health facility over the summer.
The 40-year-old’s body was found Friday night at a recycling center where he once worked.
Police said he died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head.
