Man Dies After Officer-Involved Shooting in Kensington

Police say an armed man is dead after an hours-long standoff with police at a home in Kensington Monday.

Officers responded just after 12 p.m. to an Olivia Lane residence after a report that a man was threatening a person.

At about 10:30 p.m., six police officers fired their weapons and another officer fired less-lethal ammunition, hitting the man.

He died at the scene. The man’s identity has not been released pending an autopsy.

No officers were injured, and the investigation is continuing.
