Man Who Brutally Killed Mother in Goffstown Sentenced to Prison

A man who admitted to brutally killing his own mother has now found out the punishment for that crime.

Tuesday a judge ordered 47-year-old Thomas Humphrey to spend the next 40 years behind bars.

Prosecutors say Humphrey stabbed 70-year-old Linda Tufts to death last November before setting her body on fire after an argument over video games at Tufts’ home in Goffstown.

Humphrey later pleaded guilty to arson and murder.
