Manchester Aldermen Pass Ordinance to Clear Streets
Manchester aldermen have passed a new ordinance aimed at helping clear up the city’s streets.
The proposal was pitched by Mayor Jay Ruais to address concerns over needle exchange programs that have led to syringes being improperly disposed of on roads and in parks.
The ordinance goes into effect right away instead of there being a waiting period.
Anyone who is caught breaking the new rules faces a fine between $100 and $100,000 per offense.
