Manchester Transitional Unit Escapee Back in Custody

An escapee from a transitional housing unit earlier this month is back in custody.

The state Department of Corrections said Jake Demeritt was apprehended without incident Saturday in Manchester.

He faces misdemeanor escape charges.

Before his arrest, Demerritt was eligible for parole in June.
