Manchester’s Controversial Trash Collection Plan on Hold

A controversial plan to eliminate city trash collection for large apartment buildings in Manchester starting December 1st is on hold.

A motion to reconsider was approved by the Board of Mayor and Aldermen Tuesday.

Dozens of opponents spoke at the meeting including landlords who warned it could cause rents to increase by hundreds of dollars a month to pay for private trash hauling.
