Milton School District Facing $2.5M Budget Deficit

The Milton School District is facing an estimated two-point-five-million-dollar budget deficit.
School leaders say they have one-point-five-million-in cash, but its bills are over two-million-dollars, excluding payroll and related taxes.
In a letter to the town, the superintendent said there’s no indication that money is missing or was misappropriated.
School funding is likely to appear on the town’s ballot in March.
