MLK Day Closures 

Banks and post offices will be closed on Monday for Martin Luther King Jr. Day.

The day of observance honoring the leader of the U.S. Civil Rights movement is a federal holiday, so expect the Department of Motor Vehicles and other government offices to be closed Monday.

In many communities the regular Monday trash and recycling pickups will be pushed back to Tuesday, and expect many public schools to be closed as well.
