More Rain Through Tuesday

More beneficial rain is continuing to fall  across New Hampshire  and Maine throughout the day today.

In addition to the rain, more high wind gusts and some high surf is likely along the coastline.

A high surf advisory is in effect until 6 p.m. and there is the risk of  rip currents.

The next high tide at Hampton Beach, Portsmouth and York Harbor is right around 1 this afternoon

Additional rainfall amounts of up to an inch will be possible through this  evening.

According to weather officials, this will help put a dent in the moderate drought, which covers half of New Hampshire at this time.
