Mosquitoes With WNV Caught In Manchester

For the first time this summer, mosquitoes carrying West Nile Virus are captured in Manchester.
The batch of infected insects were collected back on July 14th and so far, no human cases of the illness have been reported.
Symptoms normally appear within a week of being bitten and include fever, muscle aches, headache and fatigue.
The risk of West Nile remains until there’s a frost later this year.
