Nashua Firefighters Extinguish Couch Fire
Nashua firefighters quickly stopped a couch fire reported at a home on Sargent Avenue Saturday night according to The Union Leader.
The fire department received a call around 6:46 p.m. from a passing motorist seeing smoke from the building.
Ladder Company 1 arrived on scene first and encountered light smoke conditions showing from the first floor of a three-story occupied residential building.
The crews found a small couch fire and put it out with an air-pressurized water fire extinguisher.
Firefighters found the owner/occupant on the third floor to be the only one home.
The residence sustained minor damage as a result of the fire.
The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Nashua Fire Marshal’s Office.
