Nashua Infant Suffers Life-Threatening Injuries Following Crash in Massachusetts
A New Hampshire infant is fighting for her young life following Friday’s pre-dawn, single-vehicle crash in Andover, Massachusetts.
Troopers say the crash happened just before 3:45 a.m. when the driver, 33-year-old Nashua woman, lost control of her vehicle on 495 in Andover, and veered off the road at a high rate of speed and crashed into a tree.
Both mother and child were rushed to Lawrence General Hospital.
The one-year-old child, who suffered life-threatening injuries, was later airlifted to a Boston hospital.
Officials say the mother’s injuries were described as minor.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
