Nashua Man Accused of Threats in Custody
A 24-year-old Nashua man accused of threatening to bomb 4th of July celebrations and kill police is in custody.
After Daniel Mercado allegedly made the threats last Wednesday, police were alerted by his mental health counselor.
His parents claim he never intended to harm anyone and that he’s in need of mental health care.
According to court documents, Mercado told police he didn’t plan to act on any threats and denied having access to guns or pipe bombs.
