National Fentanyl Awareness Day Rally Held Saturday in Manchester
National Fentanyl Awareness Day is coming up this week, and Saturday’s rally in Manchester gave some New Hampshirites impacted by the deadly drug a chance to grieve.
Saturday’s ‘Operation Engage’ event in downtown was one of 11 rallies held throughout the U.S., including Albuquerque, New Orleans, Kansas City and Philadelphia.
The event’s focus was to shed light on the lethal danger of fentanyl, which is frequently found in counterfeit prescription pills.
According to state officials, of 463 confirmed drug-related deaths last year in New Hampshire, the vast majority, 394, were fentanyl-related.
