New $38M Salem Police Station Opens

Salem NH has a new police station.

It opened to the public on Wednesday after months of construction.

Chief Joel Dolan says the department has been operating out of the building since late September.

The new station is 40-thousand-square-feet and includes a K-9 outbuilding, a training range and two-level operations area.

It received some upgrades because the old station didn’t meet Americans with Disabilities Act requirements.
