New Budget Now Approved In Manchester

After weeks of debate, the City of Manchester finally has a brand-new budget.

Last night, aldermen voted to override the tax cap, which is going to result in an estimated tax increase of about seven-percent for residents.

That means the average homeowner can expect to pay an additional 400-dollars each year in taxes.

Mayor Jay Ruais had the opportunity to veto the budget but decided not to.
