New Court Hearing for Malavet

A hearing is being scheduled for early November following the recent mistrial of Victor Malavet.

He is facing multiple charges after being accused of sexually assaulting a teenage girl while he was working as a counselor at the Youth Detention Services Unit in Concord back in 2001.

A jury deliberated for three days but couldn’t decide if Malavet was guilty or innocent of these crimes. The upcoming hearing will help decide the next steps that are taken in his case.
