New Hampshire Senate to Consider Eviction Bill
The state Senate is expected to consider a bill Thursday to allow New Hampshire landlords to evict tenants at the end of a lease with 30 days notice and without any other cause.
Currently, landlords may not stop renting at the end of a lease without other cause such as non-payment of rent, substantial damage to the property or behavior affecting the health and safety of others.
The New Hampshire Bulletin reported opponents argue the bill would deny renters rights and make it harder to prove they were evicted for discriminatory reasons.
