NH AG Issues Consumer Alert About Gift Card Scam

There’s a consumer alert warning New Hampshire residents about many reports of scammers impersonating government officials and political leaders in an effort to obtain gift cards.

People are asked via text message or email to purchase gift cards for clients or constituents.

The Attorney General’s Office said people should contact the individual and confirm they are not responsible for the suspicious request.

They should always assume that any request for gift cards is a scam and never give out personal information.
