NH Attorney General Issues Medicare Scam Warning

NH Attorney General Issues Medicare Scam Warning
April 9, 2024

Medicare recipients in New Hampshire are warned of scammers posing as Medicare representatives to obtain personal information.

The callers ask if the recipient has received a new Medicare card and if not, they ask for information including social security numbers.

The Attorney General’s Office says Medicare is not issuing new cards in 2024, and it does not make unsolicited calls to recipients seeking personal or private information.

Anyone who receives such a call should hang up and call 1-800-MEDICARE (1-800-633-4227).
